Moody's McDaniel Named to Newly Created Position

NEW YORK (Dow Jones) -- Moody's Corp. named Raymond W. McDaniel Jr. to the added role of chief operating officer, a newly created position at the company.
In a press release Tuesday, the credit-rating and financial information provider said McDaniel will remain president of Moody's Investors Service, a position he has held since November 2001. McDaniel, 46, was named executive vice president and elected to the board of directors in April 2003.
In his new role, McDaniel will have responsibility for both the Moody's Investors Service and Moody's KMV business, which provides market-based quantitative services for banks and investors in credit-sensitive assets.
Moody's recorded revenue of $1.02 billion in 2002.
